Freddy and Fredericka

Freddy and Fredericka, wonderfully written by Mark Helprin, 41Z48NXMGJLis a story of common young people: foolish and errant, stumbling through a journey that hopefully leads to find their maturity, responsibility, and adulthood. The scene of Freddy on the horse in the Medieval fair was probably the best, for there Freddy first turns from a boy to a man, from bumbling idiocy to directed purpose. I find it a story that I myself can identify with, and one that many today can and indeed should.

Remember Freddy, the prince to be king.
