Is It Not?

It is not the curricula of Common Core that should be rejected so much as its foundational idea of uniformity. Humans – our children – are not blank slates to be put through a Statist factory, machined and milled, commonized and standardized until all distinctions and uniqueness are stamped out. It is highly ironic that ideas such as “Common” and “Core” are propagated so intensely as the ideal advancement of a supposed egalitarian society that purportedly “celebrates diversity” and tolerance. Then again, perhaps it is not so ironic.
